Who We’re Looking For

A mid- level engineer who has achieved a deep knowledge of Doodle systems, legacy and new, and can leverage this specialist knowledge to ensure the development of well-engineered, robust, cutting-edge, high-quality software solutions and platforms, understanding complexities of the systems, dependencies, and cross-team considerations. Someone who will own the quality of the respective deliverables. 

Ideally, You Have

• Experience as an engineer and in-depth knowledge of both backend technologies including Java with Spring Boot and web technologies including JavaScript (ES5/ES6+)
  
• Familiar with the main testing libraries & tools (Jest, Cypress, JUnit, and integration tests)
  
• A data-driven and Agile mindset
  
• Experience with A/B testing is a plus
  
• Eager to learn new technologies
  
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Fluent English
  

What the Role Involves

• Understanding stakeholder needs and presenting potential solutions
  
• Translating business requirements and process plans into technical specifications for software development
• Developing code using JavaScript and Java, testing and analyzing software solutions, in accordance with the product plan and technical design
• Deploying the new applications into test environments and assuring high-quality software deliveries
• Ensuring the company technical strategy is followed in your team deliverables
• Writing and maintaining system and production documentation
• Contributing to the maintenance and sustainability of the overall IT architecture
• Working in cross-functional teams in close collaboration with designers, frontend engineers, and PMs
• Collaborating with other engineers in the company for changes that impacts shared code
